Types of Members

Regular Member A person, living or otherwise, who has been conferred a graduate degree by AGSB.  Membership is automatic.  To be a member in good standing, however, a Regular Member needs to pay membership fees to be entitled to enjoy and exercise voting rights and privileges.
Associate Member Any person who has satisfactorily completed and passed all the academic requirements of any AGSB degree program or course, or any of the 1966 graduates of the Master of Business Management.  Membership is voluntary but to join AGSBAAI, the membership fees need to be paid.
Honorary Member Any person who has been appointed Dean of AGSB; or is a past or present faculty member of AGSB (not otherwise eligible for regular membership) who has actively taught in any degree program of AGSB for at least five years, whether consecutive or not; or any person, not otherwise qualified, but is of exemplary character and distinguished in education, business, industry, civic action or public service.  Membership is arranged through Membership Development Committee recommendation and unanimous concurrence by the AGSBAAI Board.  An Honorary Member neither has to pay membership fees nor enjoys voting rights and privileges.

Membership Fees

Every Regular and Associate Member pays an annual membership fee.  The schedule of authorized membership fees is determined by the Board of Directors at least one month before the start of the intended fiscal year of effectivity.

A lifetime membership fee may be adopted and implemented; but payment of the same does not automatically exempt the payor from any other special assessment on the general membership that AGSBAAI may subsequently decide and impose on a prospective basis.

Forfeiture of Membership

Any member, whether in good standing or otherwise, whether regular, associate or honorary, whether he/she has paid a lifetime or an annual membership fee, may be dropped or expelled from AGSBAAI for cause, or if the interest of AGSBAAI in the judgment of the Board should so warrant, but only by a majority vote of the Board.  Reinstatement of a dropped member may only be effected by an act of the Board through a majority vote.

Payment of a lifetime membership fee is automatically forfeited by a member expelled from AGSBAAI.  Reinstatement will require payment anew of either a lifetime or annual membership fee.
